Terms & Conditions
These Terms govern your access to and use of the Famously mobile application, websites, and related services (the "Platform") provided by Famously LLC ("Famously", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
What Famously is. A social networking platform and creator marketplace. It lets people discover and follow creators and public figures ("Professionals"), share and engage with content (posts, Stories, FAMO drops, comments, likes, direct messages), and book and pay for one-to-one live video calls with Professionals.

01. General Provisions
1.1 Acceptance
By accessing the Platform you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Agreement. If you use the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.
1.2 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Users aged 13–17 may use the Platform only with the verifiable consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to make payments, offer paid services, earn income, or request withdrawals.
The Platform is available worldwide except where prohibited by law.
1.3 Account Security
You agree to provide accurate information and to safeguard your credentials, including passwords and one-time passwords (OTPs). You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us at info@famously.app of any unauthorized use. Famously is not liable for losses caused by your failure to safeguard your credentials. By providing a phone number you agree to receive one-time verification codes by SMS. Standard carrier message and data rates may apply.
1.4 Authentication
You may register and sign in using email, phone number, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. Your use of third-party sign-in is subject to that provider's terms.
02. Accounts & Roles
2.1 Account Types
Personal Accounts: browse and search content, follow accounts, like and comment, send direct messages, share content, publish posts, share Stories, create FAMO drops (subject to the eligibility shown in the app), book and pay for calls, and report or block others.
Business / Professional Accounts: creators, professionals, or public figures who complete identity verification and are approved by Famously. In addition to all Personal capabilities, approved Professionals may offer paid video calls and earn and withdraw income.
2.2 Verification
Becoming a Professional requires submitting identity and, where applicable, professional documentation for review. Approval is at Famously's discretion and may be revoked. Verifying identity does not by itself make an account bookable — a Professional must also publish availability (call slots) to accept calls.
2.3 Verified Badge
A verified badge indicates that Famously has reviewed the account's identity. It is not an endorsement of any advice, product, or service the account provides.
2.4 Usernames
A username is a licence to use that handle on the Platform, not ownership of it. Famously may reassign a username on a verified claim that it corresponds to another person's legal name or registered trademark, or is being used to impersonate a person or brand. Claims are submitted through the app with supporting documents and reviewed at Famously's discretion; the current holder is notified and assigned a replacement handle.
03. Social Features & User Content
3.1 User Content
"User Content" means anything you create, upload, post, send, or share — posts, photos, videos, Stories, FAMO drops, captions, comments, hashtags, mentions, direct messages, profile information, documents shared in calls, and reports. You are solely responsible for your User Content.
3.2 License to Famously
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Famously a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (e.g., resize/transcode), publish, display, and distribute it solely to operate, provide, promote, and improve the Platform. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared with or reshared by others, limited backup copies, and where retention is required by law.
3.3 Your Representations
You represent that you own or have the rights to your User Content and that it does not infringe any third party's rights or violate any law or these Terms.
3.4 Ephemeral Content
Stories and FAMO drops are designed to expire. Expiration does not guarantee deletion from all systems (e.g., backups, content others saved, or content retained for an investigation), and does not prevent others from capturing content before it expires.
3.5 Followers, Privacy & Blocking
You may set your account to private and approve follow requests, block other users (which restricts their ability to follow you, view your content, and message you), and report content and accounts.
04. Acceptable Use & Zero-Tolerance Policy
4.1 Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Abusive Behavior
Famously has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree that you will not create, upload, post, send, or share content, or engage in conduct, that:
is sexually explicit or pornographic, or sexualizes minors in any way;
is hateful, harassing, bullying, threatening, or promotes violence or self-harm;
is discriminatory based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age;
is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or facilitates the sale of illegal or regulated goods;
is defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive, or infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
contains malware or spam, or attempts to phish, scam, or manipulate the referral, rewards, or payment systems;
impersonates another person or misrepresents your identity or affiliation;
shares another person's private information without consent ("doxxing");
attempts to circumvent bans, security controls, screen-capture protections, or fees.
4.2 Enforcement
Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, withheld or reversed earnings, and suspension or permanent termination — at Famously's discretion and without refund where permitted by law. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.
4.3 No Circumvention
You may not take payment for or arrange calls outside the Platform to avoid fees, and may not use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access or manipulate the Platform.
05. Content Moderation, Reporting & Safety
5.1 Reporting
Every user can report objectionable content, messages, or accounts directly in the app, or by emailing info@famously.app. Reports can be filed against posts, Stories, FAMO drops, comments, direct messages, profiles, and calls.
5.2 Review & Action
Famously's Regulatory Team reviews reports of objectionable content and abusive behavior and acts on validated reports within 24 hours — which may include removing the content and suspending or ejecting the responsible user. We may also proactively remove content and restrict accounts.
5.3 Blocking
You can block abusive users at any time from their profile or a conversation. Blocking is immediate.
5.4 Calls Are Not Recorded
Calls are private and are never recorded by Famously — not routinely, and not when a report is filed. We hold no audio or video of your calls. Where a report of misconduct, harassment, or a policy breach is filed about a call, we investigate using the report itself, the call's metadata (the participants, time, duration and how the call ended), and both accounts' history. Screen recording and capture are blocked during calls to protect participants.

06. Paid Calls, Scheduling & Pricing
6.1 Slots & Availability
Professionals set their own call durations and publish availability, within the limits shown in the app (for example, per-slot durations from 10 up to 60 minutes).
6.2 Pricing
Professionals set their own per-slot rate within the range shown in the app (for example, $50–$1,000 USD) unless a different rate is expressly approved by Famously. The total price is shown before you confirm a booking.
6.3 Direct Payment
Famously does not use a wallet, coin, or in-app-currency system. You pay the listed price directly using a supported method (credit/debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay) through our payment processor, UPayments.
6.4 In-Call Features
Calls may support in-call chat, document/image sharing, and paid time extensions, which the guest requests and the Professional approves before any charge is made. An extension can be requested when five minutes remain in a Call and the Professional's following slot is available; the option is withdrawn when too little time remains for approval and payment to complete before the Call ends. Screen recording and capture are blocked during calls to protect participants.
6.5 Documents Shared in Calls
You may share documents (PDF) or images (.JPG, .PNG) with a Professional for review. You are solely responsible for what you share; do not share content you are not authorized to share.
6.6 Conduct on Calls
Calls are subject to the Acceptable Use policy in Section 4. Abusive behavior may result in the call being ended and account action.
07. Earnings, Fees & Payouts
7.1 Service Fee
Famously retains a platform service fee from the total price of each paid Call for operation, security, payment processing, and administration. The fee and your resulting payout rate are shown in the app before you offer or confirm a service and may vary by account, negotiated rate, or promotion (for example, referral call bonuses). Unless otherwise shown, the default service fee is 50% of the Call price.
7.2 Withdrawals
Professionals may request a withdrawal once their available balance reaches the minimum shown in the app, paid to the payout account you designate.
7.3 Payout Timing
Approved withdrawals are typically transferred within 5–7 business days. Timing may vary based on your bank, payment processor, and verification checks.
7.4 Accuracy of Payout Details
You are responsible for the accuracy of your bank and payout details. Famously is not responsible for funds lost or delayed due to incorrect information you provide.
7.5 Taxes
You are responsible for determining and paying any taxes on your earnings. Famously may collect tax information and withhold or report amounts where required by law.
7.6 Chargebacks & Reversals
Famously may withhold, reverse, or deduct amounts associated with disputed payments, chargebacks, fraud, or violations of these Terms.
08. Referral & Rewards Programs
8.1 Referral Program
Eligible accounts may earn rewards when people they refer join and take qualifying actions (such as following the referrer within the attribution window). Rewards, eligibility, windows, and amounts are set by Famously, shown or described in the app, and may change or end at any time.
8.2 Creator & Engagement Rewards
Famously may pay rewards for genuine engagement with your content (for example views and likes on posts and FAMO drops), at rates and caps shown in the app. Rewards accrue while the content is live, mature for 30 days before they become withdrawable, and are capped per post. Rewards are reversed if the content is removed, the engagement is found to be inauthentic, or the account breaches these Terms. Famously may change or end the program at any time.
8.3 Anti-Abuse
Rewards are void where earned through fraud, fake or duplicate accounts, self-referral, automated activity, or any manipulation. Famously may withhold, reverse, or reclaim rewards obtained in violation of these Terms.
09. Refunds & Cancellations
9.1 Professional No-Show
If a Professional fails to join a scheduled and paid Call, you are refunded the full amount to your original payment method.
9.2 Cancellations & Rescheduling
A guest may cancel a Call that has not yet started. The payment is refunded in full if the guest cancels before the Professional has accepted the booking, or within five minutes of the Professional's acceptance. After that window, a cancellation by the guest is non-refundable. If the Professional cancels at any time, the guest is refunded in full. A guest may propose a new time for an accepted Call; the Professional may accept or decline the proposal. Payment carries over to a rescheduled Call, and the five-minute window runs again from the Professional's acceptance of the new time.
9.3 Completed Calls
Payments are generally non-refundable once a Call has been successfully completed, except where required by law.
9.4 Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact info@famously.app before initiating a chargeback so we can investigate.
9.5 Guest No-Show
If the Professional joins a scheduled and paid Call and the guest does not, the Call is recorded as a guest no-show. The payment is not refunded and is credited to the Professional for the time reserved. If neither party joins, Section 9.1 applies and the guest is refunded.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Famously IP
The Platform — including its software, design, logos, and trademarks — is owned by Famously and protected by law. The Famously name and logo are a registered trademark of Famously LLC in the State of Kuwait (Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Registration No. KW1675500, Class 38), and are protected under the GCC Trademark Law; you may not use them without our prior written permission. Other names and logos are the property of their respective owners. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works except as permitted by law.
10.2 Copyright / IP Infringement
If you believe content infringes your intellectual property, send a notice to info@famously.app identifying the work, the location of the content, your contact information, and a good-faith statement of accuracy. We will review, may remove infringing content, and terminate repeat infringers.
11. Third-Party Services
The Platform relies on third-party services for cloud hosting, search, authentication, SMS and email delivery, and payment processing via UPayments. Video calls run on infrastructure operated by Famously. Your use of these features may be subject to those providers' terms. Famously is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers or for technical issues arising from our third-party payment processor, UPayments.
12. Disclaimers
12.1 Platform Role
Famously provides a platform that connects users and Professionals. Famously is not a party to, and does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, safety, or legality of, any advice, service, content, or interaction between users. Professionals are independent and are not employees or agents of Famously.
12.2 "As Is"
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Famously and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or the conduct or content of any user or Professional. Famously's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Platform will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Famously in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) 50 USD.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Famously and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
15. Suspension & Termination
15.1 By You
You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time (see Section 16).
15.2 By Famously
We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, risk to the Platform or other users, legal requirement, or prolonged inactivity. Where feasible and lawful, we will provide notice.
15.3 Effect
On termination, your right to use the Platform ends. Provisions that by nature survive (content license for already-shared content, IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, and dispute terms) survive. Eligible unpaid earnings, less amounts owed or under investigation, may be paid out subject to our verification and payout process.
16. Account Deletion
You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing info@famously.app. On deletion, we remove or de-identify your personal data and User Content, except information we must retain for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes, and content already shared with or reshared by others. See the Privacy Policy for details.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
18. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of the State of Kuwait, unless applicable law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere. Nothing here limits non-waivable consumer rights under the laws of your country of residence.
