Claim a username

If someone is using your name or your brand as their username on Famously, you can ask for it to be transferred to you.

   Tell us which username, and why it is yours

   Your legal name, a brand or trademark you hold, or an account presenting itself as you.

   Attach proof

   A government-issued ID for a name; a trademark or business registration for a brand. PDF or image, and only the Famously team can see it.

   We review it by hand

   If the claim holds, the username is transferred to your account and the current holder is moved to a new handle and notified. You hear back by email and in the app.

A username is a licence to use that handle on Famously, not ownership of it — see section 2.4 of our Terms. Claims made in bad faith may lead to action against the claiming account.
